Distribution and Advertising

P4 Understand ethical, legal, and regulatory issues associated with media products

Two very important processes to get the film noticed and watched is through advertising and distribution. This encaptures the target audience and makes the film avaliable to watch through different channels. The definition of advertising is using visual and audio techniques to capture an audience's interest for a certain product. The process of distribution in media, is publicising a movie for audiences through cinemas, television or DVD/Blu-ray.

Distributing is the process of publicising a movie for audiences through cinemas, television or DVD/Blu-ray. A qualified film distributor would be hired to formulate how and when the film would be released and how to market it.

Once the film is finished, the production team will have to go through the process of distrubution in order for the audience to see it, Although over the years digital distribution has become popular.
